LatStudios is seeking an experienced, passionate Senior Landscape Architect to join the Lat37 Melbourne team. This position is ideal for candidates with established careers looking to extend their practice and help build a new studio backed by the extensive support from an established and collaborative team of highly experienced professionals.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Landscape Architect is an integral member of the studio team and is required to work with the senior team to assist the production of high quality proposals and projects for our clients. The applicant will be a solid performer in their field with demonstrated communication, technical and design skills.

The Landscape Architect will be representing the business and as such is responsible for externally relating our culture and values to our clients. The Landscape Architect is to contribute to the studio environment in a participative way and will liaise with the teams nationally to ensure high quality project expectations are achieved.

The Landscape Architect is required to have advanced skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, AutoCAD, Revit and the Microsoft Office Suite and have experience and knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards. 3D modelling skills would be considered favourably.

POSITION ROLE

The Landscape Architect primarily assists with the preparation of proposals / bids for projects and subsequent development of design and documentation drawings and documents. The Landscape Architect will also have:

  • Qualifications in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field, with postgraduate qualifications
  • A Registered Member of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects
  • In excess of seven years’ experience working in a Landscape Architectural office
  • Proven experience in project management from proposal / bid preparation through to construction / commission completion
  • Exceptional design skills
  • An informed understanding of current trends in the best practice of Landscape Architecture
  • Excellent financial and project management skills
  • Proven experience in managing and working in a collaborative team environment successfully
  • The ability to prioritise multiple projects and deadlines and determine additional staffing needs to complete workload
  • The ability to manage project involvement within budgets and time parameters
  • The ability to critically review their own work to achieve exceptional outcomes
  • Client communication and management skills
  • Advanced skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, AutoCAD, and Sketch Up / 3D modelling software. Note: Advanced Revit skills will be highly regarded.
