The ACT Government has identified Canberra’s need for accessible, high capacity and high quality transport to increase the public transport mode share and reduce car dependence.

Canberra Light Rail (CLR) will transform the city by providing a world-class light rail system integrated with the wider public transport network. It will be a safe, frequent and reliable service with consistent journey times that meets the needs of customers and the community.

The Capital Metro Light Rail Stage 1 — Civic to Gungahlin Project comprises of a 12 kilometre light rail service including a depot, encompassing a stabling and maintenance facility, linking the newly developed area of Gungahlin with the Civic area in Canberra.

In the role of Independent Verifier for LRUD, Lat27 is required to review and certify that the design documentation complies with the requirements of the Project Documents. The Project Documents include the Scope and Project Requirements between the Government and Operator Franchisee, to which all relevant laws and approvals are referred.
