EDQ had successfully gained funding through the Regional Resource Town Action Plan (RRTAP) and worked in collaboration with Maranoa Regional Council (MRC) to investigate the development potential of a significant greenfield site at Dargal Road, Roma.

The workshops engaged the full Maranoa Regional Council - Councillors, executive management team & staff - and various attendees to investigate appropriate development forms, urban character development density and EDQ's sustainability initiatives.

Key outcomes of the process included:

  • An assessment of the townscape context and development opportunities and constraints;
  • Both local and precinct wide structure planning strategies; and
  • Conceptual community design for potential early residential stages, testing a range of densities and development structures.
