This new heavy rail corridor connects Petrie to Kippa Ring and includes six new stations and a shared pedestrian and cycle link collocated in the corridor. Key aspects and influences of our landscape and urban design inputs were:

  • A shared pedestrian / cycle path along the extents of the rail corridor;
  • Integration of the stations into their precinct landscape settings;
  • Circulation around the stations including; bus interchanges, taxi drop off and ‘kiss and ride’ facilities;
  • Car park integration and connectivity;
  • Landscape integration of grade separated structures;
  • Design of urban elements associated with grade separated structures such as retaining walls, bridge structure profiles and parapets and safety screens; and
  • Consideration of environmental issues associated with the new station infrastructure such as retention of significant vegetation and water sensitive urban design was also a key deliverable.
