Powerlink is proposing a new 195km long, 275 kV electricity transmission line between Kidston and Mount Fox in Queensland known as the Kidston Connection Project. This will connect the Kidston Renewable Energy Hub, where Genex Power Limited is seeking to establish a combination solar and hydro pump storage power generation facility, to the National Electricity grid. LatStudios was commissioned by AECOM to undertake a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) of the Project to inform the Environmental Assessment Report that AECOM prepared to support an Infrastructure Designation application under the Planning Act 2016. The Ministerial Infrastructure Designation Assessment Report (MIDAR) was released in 2021 for public review and comment.
