Following on from the delivery of the significant community asset of Darlington Parklands, Lat27 were engaged by Lendlease to design and document the Shaw Street Oval Precinct at Yarrabilba, combining sports fields that provide a sports / training function supported by additional sports courts and other community facilities.

The key to achieving an integrated solution is the successful continuation of the established materiality and design language of Yarrabilba and the design resolution of the 3-dimensional spatial planning of the site which enabled the accommodation of the sports fields while integrating the positioning of the additional sports courts, community garden, dog park, parking, future community hub and passive recreation uses. These uses are effectively integrated with the already established circulation network and desire lines creating a successful place and early activation at Yarrabilba.
