Port Phillip Urban Forest Precinct Plan

We’re very excited to announce that the City of Port Phillip’s draft of the Urban Forest Precinct Plan for Balaclava and St Kilda East – completed by LatStudios in collaboration with Council and the Walk Quality Research Project team at Swinburne University of Technology – has been published for community engagement!

The Plan identifies key opportunities for urban greening interventions to increase shade and bolster biodiversity in areas of high heat vulnerability, along key walking and cycling routes, at public transport stops and around activity centres.

A huge thanks to Jennifer Witheridge from City of Port Phillip, and the Walk Quality research team from Swinburne University of Technology.
