UQ Plant Growth Facility Opening
In June, Nathalie and Sean attended The University of Queensland’s opening of the Plant Futures Facility at the St Lucia campus - a significant new addition to the University as the best facility in the Southern Hemisphere supporting research into plant growth to support resilience to climate change, biosecurity, and food security.
m3architecture’s sculptural building references soil strata and the surrounding brick architecture to deliver a stunning object in the landscape.
LatStudios responded to the architecture with the concept of a walled garden enclosing controlled and managed plants on the interior and wild and native plants to the exterior.
Congratulations to all involved including Hansen Yuncken and Penfold Projects contractors in delivering such a technical yet beautiful project.
