We're proud to share our success at the recent World Landscape Architecture & AILA QLD awards. The award ceremonies naturally were not the social affairs we are used to and we commend the award organisers for putting on a great event online!

As always, we thank our clients, collaborators and studio team for their incredible efforts on these projects.

Inter-Urban Break Outdoor Recreation Plan awarded AILA Regional Award

We're very excited that our Inter-Urban Break Outdoor Recreation Plan project was awarded a Regional Achievement in Landscape Architecture for the Sunshine Coast in the Landscape Planning category in the AILA QLD Awards last week.

AILA QLD Jury Citation: "This recreation plan focuses on one of the most highly visited landscapes in Queensland, being one which is under pressure from increased urban sprawl, densification of development among a number of natural landscapes. The recreation plan carefully addresses these contested landscapes, demonstrating a strong understanding of the natural values that occur alongside social, cultural and recreational perspectives from local communities. The jury commends the plan for also providing land managers with a seamless guide that focuses on ‘working together’ to best protect the natural environment whilst balancing community uses."

Thanks to our client Sunshine Coast Council and our incredible project team for all their hard work: Alliance Planning, John Gaskell Planning Consultants and Ecosure.

UQ Community Garden awarded AILA Landscape Architecture Award

We're very excited that our UQ Community Garden, St Lucia project was awarded a Landscape Architecture Award for Health & Education Landscapes in the AILA QLD Awards last week.

AILA QLD Jury Citation: "Whether in the education or health sectors, the humanising of large institutional campuses is a worthwhile pursuit and the jury commends the University of Queensland for its ongoing commitment in breaking down the walls that divide campuses and communities. The making of a productive landscape is an important and symbolic gesture. Spaces like these succeed because of the goodwill and hard work of volunteers, people who seek out both companionship and fertile ground. Whilst recognising the projects goal of lifting the university’s profile through the delivery of spaces that underpin its community and sustainability values, the Jury encourages UQ to look beyond its branding and marketing objectives to ensure this space is loved by all."

Thanks to our client University of Queensland and our incredible project team for all their hard work: DWP Architects & Naturform.
