The Fresh Food entries project was the reinvigoration of two major entry points for Chadstone, stitching together multiple development opportunities with an integrated public realm. This project was amongst the first of a group of projects as part of the larger evolution of Chadstone Shopping Centre into an internationally recognised lifestyle and entertainment destination.

The Southern entry included an opening up of an existing constrained entrance with a new public plaza including mini amphitheatre and stage and a dramatic arbour entry statement. The Parisian style architectural design is complemented by materiality selections which are inspiredby Paris’ open spaces.

The new Eastern entry off Middle Road, previously a loading bay, formally addresses the Middle Road axis and provides an arrival experience which matches Chadstone’s standing as a destination by complimenting adjacent architecture and utilising a porte cochère and defining sculptural element to create a sense of place. High quality, simple materials have been selected to compliment the architectural design and reinforce the high-end nature of this new arrival point.
