The Rockhampton Northern Access Road (RNAU) project involves upgrading the Bruce Highway in Parkhurst (Rockhampton) between the Yeppoon Road Intersection and Terranova Drive to provide dual two-lane carriageways together with intersection and access upgrades, including a new roundabout.

Lat27 prepared a Landscape and Visual Assessment on behalf of AECOM for DTMR to facilitate the preparation of the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) in accordance with the project Terms of Reference and the Road Landscape Manual.

The report describes the existing landscape character and visual amenity values of the road corridor; identifies those people who are likely to experience and value views of the landscape and evaluates the significance of the impact to assist AECOM to develop engineering and landscape design proposals that mitigate and manage the identified impacts.
