Lat27 was engaged to develop and implement a design for the campus arrival precinct and central spine with a vision to strengthen the connections between the historic and contemporary fabric, enhance the sense of arrival to the campus and create an activated and enhanced heart.

The primary drivers for this project include:

  • Strengthening the campus identity and arrival
  • Reinforcing the historic central axis
  • Shading the campus using endemic tree species
  • Activation at all times of the day
  • Creation of outdoor learning spaces
  • Cooling the central space by greening the hardstand
  • Way finding and accessibility
